Consultation to determine the potential scope and scale of CoastRI is ongoing. Late 2023 focused on national, state and local government needs. Early 2024 will focus on needs of and connections to industry operations as the consultation continues.

The CoastRI website has been updated and expanded with more information about the challenges, objective of the initiative, stakeholders and activities.

In late February the Directors of participating NCRIS programs will meet in Melbourne to review consultation outcomes to date, discuss potential themes for the program and consider elements of national research infrastructure that could be applied to meet end-user needs. Outcomes of this workshop will help establish the program framework.
